2nd Transju'trail
Christophe MALARDE back on the podium!

It was rainy on this second edition of la Transju'trail but Christophe MALARDE didn't care and won for the second time in 06:20:48, largely ahead of Dawa SHERPA and Arnaud PERRIGNON despite a 15mn penalty consequently to gis mistake on the way to go on the final part. But both Dawa SHERPA and Arnaud PERRIGNON agreed that Christophe was well ahead on the whole race and deserved to win. 

Among the Ladies, Aurélie GERMANN, who won the 33km last year, passed the finish line first in 08:26:50 followed by Sophie LIMOGES coming from Québec and on the third step, Nathalie DUBOIS.

On the 34km, all podiums were 100% "franc-comtois" ! Nicolas BINET, Nicolas PIANET and Ivan BOURGEOIS for the men are all coming from Doubs and Jura. Among the Ladies it's Frédérique FAVIER, France-Marie FOURDINIER and Sandra MONTARON

 In 2009 the Transju Challenge has gathered 116 racers, and 121 competitors in 2009. Didier Roy win the Challenge closely follwed by Xavier Thevenard, the youngest participant. Among the Ladies, no surprise, Aurélie Germann takes the first step of the podium!
