Transju'trail Rules
Article 1 - Organising Committee
La Transju'trail is organised by Trans'Organisation, an association icomprising 10 ski clubs situated on the traditional course of La Transjurassienne : US Lamoura, SC Prémanon, Skieurs Rousselands, SC Bois d'Amont, SC La Brassus, SC Morez, SC Morbier-Bellefontaine, SC Mont Noir, RC Chaux Neuve, AS Mouthe.
Article 2 - Events
La Transju'trail is composed of two events:
a 70 km event between Mouthe and Lamoura with a start at 5:30 am
a 34 km event between Morez and Lamoura with a start at 10:00 am, Place de la Mairie.
The organiser reserves the right to modify the race course depending on environmental, weather and security constraints.
Article 3 - Participation and age categories
The events of Transjutrail are open to all runners, men and women who are at least 20 years old, owning a sport licence or not, of all nationalities.
On the 70 km, the number of participants is limited to 500.
On the 34 km, the number of participants is limited to 700.
Article 4 - Registration
To be valid, all registrations must contain a copy of a sport licence or a copy of a medical certificate of less than a year old stating clearly the ability to take part in a trail running competition. Otherwise, the participant won't be authorised to do the race.

Article 5 - Cancellation
Article 6 - Changes
In the case you wish to pass your start number to another racer you have to inform the organiser by mail (post or @mail) and provide all the necessary documents of the new competitor (sport licence or medical certificate). The organiser doesn't make the money transfers : the racers must find an agreement by themselves. An extra charge of 10 € will be demanded for any changes after the registration closing date by post i-e 22nd May 2009.
In the case you're registered on the 70km race and wish to participate in the 34km, we will remburse 10 €. An extra charge of 10 € will be demanded for any changes after the registration closing date by post i-e 22nd May 2009.
In the case you're registered on the 30km race and wish to participate in the 70km, you will have to pay the 10 € difference. An extra charge of 10 € will be demanded for any changes after the registration closing date by post i-e 22nd May 2009.
Article 7 - Delivery of the bibs
To pick-up your bib, the organiser may ask you to present an ID.
For the 70km race, you can pick-up your bib from the sponsors village in Morez, Place de la Mairie on Saturday 06th June 2009 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. For the competitors coming on the day of the race, the bibs will be available in Mouthe, Salle polyvalente, from 4:30 am to 5:15 am.
For the 34km race, you can pick up your bib from the Sponsors Village in Morez, Place de la Mairie on Saturday 06th June 2009 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. For racers coming on the day of the race, the bibs will be available in Morez, Place de la Mairie, from 9:00 am to 9:45 am.
The bib must be put on the chest and remain visible all race long.
The bib is your pass to all services provided (meal, showers, transport, etc.).
Electronic time keeping
Each competitor receives a bib equiped with an electronic chip. Please make sure not to damage it in case to be ranked.
Article 8 - Equipment
At the start, racers must present the following items :
Water reserve- 1 litre minimum
Whistle
Surviving blanket for the 70km race
Head light for the 70km race
Walking sticks are authorised on both distances.
Article 9 - Clothing bags
The organiser provides the transfer of the clothing bags left in the signposted trucks to the finish area but accept no liability in case of loss or damage.
Article 10 - Signs
The path will be marked out with coloured rubalise..

Article 11 - Medical and safety
There will be aid points in every food stands and difficult points of the course (col, high point etc.). From these points there is radio or telephone contact to the main organisation. The medical team will be present throughout the event.
Aid points will assist all the injured people with the help of the organisation and doctors (all the methods of intervations, even the helicopter service). Official doctors have authorisation to take off the course all the competitors who are unfit/unable to continue the competition.
The masseur/physiotherapist/chiropodist team will be available for the competitors on the finish area.
Article 12 - Food stands
La Transju'trail est une épreuve en auto-suffisance partielle.
There will be food suplies equally available at the start (Mouthe and Morez) and finish (Lamoura) area.
Article 13 - Time cut-off points and controls
Two controls will be placed along the track. The number bibs should be clearly visible all the way along the course.
Controllers along the course have authority to control obligatory materials. All the competitors not having all the obligatory material with them, will be disqualified.
Article 14 - Withdrawal
In case of withdrawal, the racer must report to the closest medical point, food stand or control
and take away the number bib.
Article 15 - Protests
Protest must be sent to the organiser within ... after the results have been published.
Article 16 - Prizes and rewards
There will be no money prizes.
A souvenir gift will be given to all participants.
The prize giving ceremony will be held in Morez, Place de la Mairie, at 2:30 pm. The participants awarded must be present to get their prize. In case of absense, the organizer will keep the prizes.
On the 2 path and in each category, the 3 first Men and Ladies will be awarded.
A drawing will be done among the participants.
Article 17 - Insurance
The organizer take a liability insurance for all members of the organising committee (including Jury).
The licenced competitors must conform the conditions of their sport licence required by their national federation. They benefit agreed insurance cover via their licence. The competitors without sport licence must take personal insurance for the risks during the competition.
Organisation is not responsible in case of accident, failure resulting from bad health conditions, insuffisient preparation or thievery.
Article 18 - Antidoping control
All participants may have to undertake an anti-doping control while or after the competition. In the case of refusal of doping control, the competitor will be disqualified. All positive test results will be reported to the federation of the competitor from which he/she will get the official sanctions.
Article 19 - Jury of the Event
An official Jury will be designated.
Its decision are irevocable. He may have to take decision concerning postponement or cancellation of the event according to weather conditions.
Article 20 - Obligations for the participants
Respect of the environment
The events of Transjutrail are organised with the respect of the environment protection rules. All the violation against that principle will lead to the disqualification of the competitor: ie. throwing the food suplies outside of the feeding zones, running outside the marked tracks, damaging voluntaryly the flora.
Respect of the volunteers
All the competitors should respect the volunteers, the members of the organisation. The violation of this rule can lead to the penalisation or disqualification of the competitor.
Assistance of the other competitors
The competitors should help the counterparts on danger. In that case the organisation will calculate the compensation seconds for the competitor. In case of emergency, inform the members of the organisation who has at least radiophones or telephones with them.
Respect of Transju' trail and its partners
All participants should represent la Transju' trail ans its partners with dignity.
Participants give a permission to the organisation of Transju' trail and its partners to all kind of advertisement and to a larger extent to all kind of promotion using their names and images, without payments or compensations.
It is forbidden to cover with personal advertisements theadvertisement spaces of the organisation. Competitors should recognize that Transju' trail is advertisement support so in that way they can be beneficiaries.
Article 21 - Companions
Bicycles and motor vehicles are strictly forbidden on course. All personal assistance outside the approved points as well as on the course is forbidden. It is forbidden to run with a dog.
Article 22 - Image rights
Through his/her registration, every participant allows the Trans' Organisation as well as its legal beneficiaries like its partners and media to use still and audiovisual images on which he/she appears. For participants who do not wish so, please inform us by mail mentioning your name, address and bib number if possible.
Article 23 - Informative and liberty rights
In accordance with the law of Data protection on 6 Janyary 1978, every competitor has a right to acces and correct personal data regarding/affecting to them.
Article 24 - Acceptation du règlement de l'épreuve
Through the payment of his/her entry fee; each competitor confirm to have good knowledge and acceptance of the rules of the competition.
